Eagle Cap Wilderness of the Wallowa Mountains of Oregon

If you haven’t visited the wonder that is the Eagle Cap Wilderness of the Wallowa Mountains of Oregon you are definitely missing out!

We backpacked here in 2016 and vowed we would go back every year.  Alpine lakes, panoramic summits, glacial valleys, verdant meadows and more are to be found in over 361,000 acres of backcountry experience.  The views are just one after another and as long as you don’t spend too much time in the most popular areas (Lakes Basin for example), you will find yourself alone for a good portion of your trip.

I recreate on the stolen ancestral lands of the Coast Salish, Stillaguamish, Snohomish and Tulalip peoples, lands held in time immemorial.  This land and its people must be protected and honored; their history, relationships and culture are not only of the past but are now and into the future, holding the key to proper stewardship.  Learn more here…
