I have hiked in to Tunnel Falls on the Eagle Creek Trail on the Columbia Gorge now twice, once in July of 2014 as I began section hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and again that November on a road trip to Oregon. This is an amazing hike with little elevation gain but not for the faint of heart as most of it is on a ledge above the Eagle Creek gorge with little room for accidentally stepping off the mostly rocky, wet trail. It is popular and the TH sees a lot of crime, so don’t leave valuables in your car and go on a weekday. In the rain.
The first set of pictures is from our rainy day hike in November and the second are from a hot, humid day in July. It’s kind of fun to compare the pictures and see what caught my eye differently between the two hikes.
