Mt. Rainier-White Pass

Mount Rainier is an icon of Washington State, drawing in explorers from all over the planet.  White Pass is one scenic byway for accessing the area below this grand mountain (as well as Mount St. Helens).  On a clear day, hikes in this area present a line up of the highest summits available.  I have an annual car camping trip on Memorial Day at the beginning of HWY 12 (White Pass) and we have been making time to hike in between campfires and sitting by the river.

Find out current conditions and as always, practice Leave No Trace.  Pretty Please.
